The Johannesburg High Court approved the historic settlement between the Occupational Lung Disease Working Group – representing African Rainbow Minerals, Anglo American SA, AngloGold Ashanti, Gold Fields, Harmony and Sibanye Stillwater, and settlement classes’ representatives as well as the settlement classes’ attorneys Richard Spoor Inc, Abrahams Kiewitz Inc Attorneys and the Legal Resources Centre.

The Johannesburg High Court approved a historic settlement resulting from three years of extensive legal work.
The Agreement provides meaningful compensation to all eligible workers suffering from silicosis and/or tuberculosis who worked in these companies’ mines from 12 March 1965 to date.
